The Major Service is a full overhaul for hard‑working road and mountain bikes. It covers everything in the General Service, plus a complete strip, clean, and re‑grease of key components for long‑term durability.

What’s included:

• Wash & Drivetrain: full bike wash, degrease chain and cassette.
• Gears: adjust shifting (from fine tweaks to full derailleur reset), straighten hanger if needed, replace cables and housings (parts extra).
• Wheels: strip and grease hubs and freebody, check bearings, inspect tyres, refresh sealant (extra), true wheels, and check spoke tension.
• Suspension: check and adjust fork/shock air pressure, inspect linkages for play or wear (full strip‑down not included).
• Frame & headset: strip and re‑grease bottom bracket and headset, inspect bolts, grease seat post.
• Brakes: inspect pads, cables, and rotors; solvent clean and adjust or replace as required (parts extra).

Extras available (quoted separately)

• Suspension linkage strip and bearing replacement.
• Fork and shock servicing.
• Hydraulic brake bleeding.

Important notes:

• We do not service “supermarket” bikes (Cyclone, Totem, Peerless, etc.).
• Tandems attract a 50% surcharge.
• Trikes, recumbents, and specials are priced by arrangement.
